At 8:00am on new year's eve, Fosun's global deployment of medical supplies plan was launched, and Fosun Tourism’s global team participated as an important force. For the past few days, Fosun has collected over 330,000 masks and 270,000 medical protective suits overseas. In the next few days, medical supplies purchased from India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany, Japan and other places will go through various procedures in an intensive manner, and be rushed back to China as soon as possible and sent to epidemic areas to better protect our medical personnel.
Club Med, a member company of Fosun Tourism, actively participated in the material collection through its global procurement channels. As of January 31, 22,000 masks and 1,400 medical protective suits have been delivered to Shanghai through Club Med channels, and another 100,000 masks and 7,000 medical protective suits will arrive in Shanghai in mid-February. At the same time, in order to protect the safety of guests and employees of the resort, Club Med has purchased an additional 120,000 masks, which are being sent to resorts around the world.
The employees of Fosun Tourism also organized the purchase of a total of about 56,000 medical protective suits and more than 12,000 masks from Greece, and will be shipped back to Shanghai in batches within the next week. The first batch consisted of more than 12,000 masks and about 1,700 medical protective suits. They were shipped from Athens on February 1 and will arrive in Shanghai soon.
In the face of the development of the epidemic, member companies of Fosun Tourism is actively responding. Club Med, Atlantis Sanya, Albion and other resorts and hotels took immediate measures to prevent and control the outbreak, rescheduling or canceling relevant travel services according to customer requirements, while ensuring the standard of service, health and safety of customers and employees.
