FOLIDAY Town Celebrates the Ground Breaking of Alps Snow Live in Taicang

Shanghai, China - On January 30^th, 2021, Fosun Tourism Group (also known as “FOLIDAY” or "the Group", Hong Kong stock exchange share code: 1992as the world’s leading leisure-focused integrated tourism group, is pleased to announce its ground breaking ceremony of Alps Snow Live in Taicang. Alps Snow Live is an essential part of its Taicang FOLIDAY Town. The distinguished guests attending the ceremony included Mayor of Taicang Wang Xiangyuan, Deputy Secretary of Taicang Municipal Party Committee Hu Weijiang, Member of Standing Committee of Taicang Municipal Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Taicang High-tech Zone Wang Hongxing, Deputy Mayor of Taicang Gu Jiankang Chairman and CEO of Fosun Tourism Group Qian Jiannong. At present, Taicang FOLIDAY Town is under construction. The ceremony also marks the important part of the Taicang FOLIDAY Town.  Alps Snow Live has entered the comprehensive construction stage. Taicang FOLIDAY Townis expected to open in 2023, by which time the Yangtze River Delta will emerge as a world-class tourism destination.

Taicang FOLIDAY Town is located in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Covering a total area of one square kilometer and a total construction area about 1.3 million square meters. It is only 600 meters away from Taicangnan Railway Station. The resort will provide tourists with top convenience and transport efficiency. As its name indicates, the resort provides a portfolio of Alps themed experiences: Alps Snow Live, Alps Sports Park and Alps Town, Club Med Joyview and Casa Cook Hotels. With more than 30 years of industry experience, CDA operates 11 ski resorts, including some of the world's most illustrious, and has hosted several major international ski events, including the Winter Olympics. Alps Snow Live, a total investment of RMB 2 billion, covers an area of 54,000 square meters, a total construction area of 91,000 square meters and is contracted to China Construction Eighth Engineering Division. It will be the largest indoor ski resort in Eastern China. In order to create an experience close to real snow, Alps Snow Live uses the Wyss Snowmaking Machine, a highly renowned snowmaking equipment from France. It will be the first indoor ski resort in China to use Wyss equipment, replicating the best snow quality in China, allowing visitors to have a new high-quality and comfortable indoor skiing experience.

There are five ski runs in Alps Snow Live, the longest of which reaches 280 meters one way. There are slopes suitable for beginners and height drops (up to 16 degrees) suitable for advanced skiers. At the same time, seven transport "magic carpets" will be set up to maximize the skiing experiences for tourists. In terms of ski training, there will be two ski schools for all ages provided by Compagnie des Alpes and Club Med, and visitors will be able to experience professional skiing education from the European system. In addition to the eight skiing sports activities, the Alps Snow Live will also provide 14 snow activities (such as a snow playground, snow circle rotation, ice sculpture exploration, ice bumper car, etc.). At specific time periods, there will also be snowfall for an immersive Alps experience. The skiing and snow fun areas are designed in the concept of "the Alps in the sunset", featuring rolling hills, elegant French village chalets, handmade merry-go-rounds and classic wooden trestle paths between mountains. What's more, visitors can engage with penguins and sled dogs from the polar regions. The vivid simulation of skiing in the French Alps will excite visitors and keep them immersed.
